Initial Consultation Agreement
1. Purpose of Consultation: The purpose of the initial consultation is to provide the consultant with sufficient information to conduct a thorough assessment and offer comprehensive advice on immigration options. This may include estimated processing times, legal fees, and associated costs.
2. Consultation Fee: The Client agrees to pay the full consultation fee in Canadian Dollars (CAD) prior to the commencement of the consultation. This fee is non-refundable and does not constitute a retainer for further services.
3. Limited Scope of Engagement: The initial consultation does not establish a Consultant-Client relationship beyond the consultation itself. At the conclusion of the consultation, there is no obligation for the Client to retain the consultant’s services, nor is the consultant obligated to provide further services unless a separate engagement or full retainer agreement is signed.
4. Method and Duration of Consultation: The consultation may be conducted in person, by phone, or via video conferencing, as agreed upon between the parties. The duration of the consultation shall not exceed 15 minutes unless otherwise extended at the discretion of the consultant.
5. Confidentiality: Any information or documentation reviewed during the consultation will remain strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party, except as required by law or with the express consent of the Client. The consultant’s agents and employees are also bound by this confidentiality obligation.
6. Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
7. Regulatory Compliance: Please note that Balraj Singh, a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), is a member in good standing of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) and is bound by its By-laws, Code of Professional Ethics, and Regulations.
8. Acknowledgment and Agreement: By proceeding with the consultation and making payment, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all the terms and conditions of this agreement.
For any further engagement beyond the initial consultation, a separate retainer agreement must be signed.
